Joshua Thompson

I am a well travelled and experienced XDCAM/DV CAM Operator with a PADI certified Divemaster license. I am proficient with a variety of prosumer and broadcast quality cameras ranging from the Sony Z1, Z5, EX1, EX3, 350. Also the JVC GY HDV models; 110 and 111e. And a variety of Canon DSLRs such as the 5D MK2 and 7D

I have worked as a Cams Ops on several high profile live dvd and music videos including Gary Numan, Bad Company, Spandau Ballet & Tony Hadley, Transatlantic, Go West, InMe, ABC and Julian Tulk. Recently I returned from the Bahamas where I was employed as an underwater videographer using the Sony EX1 with a Gates Underwater Housing. On this project I also worked as a photographer, dive supervisor and field sound recordist.

In early 2010 I received 2nd place at the SEE Film Festival for a documentary I made on a infamous football fanatic- John Anthony Portsmouth Football Club Westwood which was released on an International TV programme called Goalissimo,(KOTV-Southampton) in July 2010

I have worked with a variety of clients including MG, Saab, Hodder & Stoughton, and Wadworth (currently ongoing through WigglyLine Productions) . My skills also include a sound understanding of editing software such as Final Cut Pro and Sound Track Pro.

Being 100% dedicated to my work, my attributes highlight my reliability and reflect the high quality of work I produce for clients. I am very personable and have great communication skills and work very well in a team or independently.
